You Love Them, You Hate Them, They're Your Friends!

As the title says, you love them and hate them they are your friends. There are all kinds of friends that we encounter in our lives. Those friends who became so simply because you grew up together. The friends that you make while dealing with hardships in your life. The friends that you hang out with constantly one year and then never talk to the next. You know them.

There are those close friends whom you tell all your secrets to. They are the most dangerous, and the most valuable. Those friends are the ones that could destroy you with a few simply said words, but they are also the ones that have your back no matter what.

Then there are the friends that just want something from you. You know them too, they are the ones that hang around you in order to steal some popularity from you, or some intelligence as the case may be. I would advise you to stay far away from these people, but they are not always the easiest to identify. However, they always show their true colors eventually, especially when you are no longer of use to them.

You have friends you love and friends you hate. You have lifelong friends and friends for the moment. You have friends who have betrayed you and who you have betrayed. And you have friends that may one day be much much more. But throughout your life, through your ups and downs, you will always have your "friends".

Unconditional Love

You know that feeling you get when you look at a baby for the first time? Whether is be a baby from your flesh or a cousin, or an adopted child you know the feeling. That warm fuzziness that just swells up inside you until you just know that you love that child? That is unconditional love. Unconditional Love is that love that keeps bringing you back to the person who has hurt you; emotionally or physically; in the past. That love is the love that makes you put aside your own wants and needs in favor of their own. Unconditional Love is that love that parents have for their children, that women get for their first real love, that men sometimes experience for their first car. [you know that one they bought with their OWN money]

I sometimes feel as if love can be overrated, and yet as I look down into the smiling face of my 7 month cousin I find myself full of love. As I dream about the children I may one day have with an unknown man, I feel filled with love. As I listen to my brother ramble to his computer friends...I find myself filled with love. Love can hurt if its not reciprocated and yet it can be your greatest strength. Unconditional Love is the strongest love in the world, and I can't wait to experience it.
